OUR MISSION

The Dr. W. D. and N. Meriwether Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable organization. It operates and manages health, HIV/AIDS, malaria, agriculture, food security, nutrition, water, sanitation and sustainable economic empowerment programs in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique. The Foundation’s mission is to improve health, empower communities and alleviate poverty in rural and peri-urban areas in Africa. The Foundation operates programs for orphan and vulnerable children, early childhood development, pre-schools, sustainable organic agriculture, training of health workers, establishment and management of primary healthcare and medical clinics, drilling of water boreholes for rural villages, building of schools and homes, training of farmers, carpenters and builders.

Serving Africa since 1983

The founders and directors of the Dr. W. D. and N. Meriwether Foundation have been serving the poorest of the poor in rural Southern African villages since 1983. The Foundation was incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in 2007.
